Parkinson Story wrote by Dr.Lim

That day was a rainy night. I was sorting out the boxes at home, and all of a sudden I felt a chill in my right arm and seemed to lose strength. I said, looking at my son next to him.

“I think my arm is losing some strength.”

“Dad are you okay?”

“No… I just seem to lose some power, but yea don’t worry about it. it will be okay…”

In fact, I could no longer tell my son about my sickness. I hated seeing my son worried.

However, the memories of that day are still clear. It feels like life is running out from my arm

-A month later-

Since that day, it became difficult to perform certain specific actions like grabbing a pen, “It will be alright.” I left my anxious mind behind and thought about it alone. But a few days later, while running the evening with my son, my body started to feel a lot strange.

“Son! my body seems a little weird. I have some pain and stiffness on my shoulders and arms.

“I think I have to go to the hospital…”

“I’ll be with you dad. Go to hospital tomorrow”

When I got back home, I had an anxious feeling that something was so badly wrong. Along with extreme anxiety, extreme fatigue came. It was as if all the energy had been exhausted from the body.

And the next day, my doctor said.

“I have to do a detailed examination.” And a few days later I was diagnosed with Parkinson.

1. Changes in handwriting

Parkinson’s patients have great difficulty managing movement due to brain changes. Therefore, there may be abnormal symptoms in handwriting, for example, a change in which the size of the handwriting decreases gradually after starting to write in general may be seen. This is one of the important symptoms that diagnose Parkinson’s patients.

2. Tremor

Tremor is one of the most common known symptoms of Parkinson’s disease. Minor cramps or tremors in the fingers, hands, or feet are common. Initially, the tremor starts weakly enough that only you can tell, but the more the symptoms get worse, the more the tremor becomes. It usually happens at rest rather than when moving. (Resting tremor)

3. Slow motion

Parkinson mainly affects people after the age of 60, which is characterized by stiffness in the morning and slow body movement. This can happen to the general public, but in the general public, if it is stiff in the morning, it will be relieved by the afternoon. This is because it is a symptom caused by an abnormality in the nervous system.

4. Problems with sleep

Early in Parkinson’s disease, movements that you cannot control yourself on a regular basis may occur. For example, kicking, hitting, swinging arms, and falling out of bed while sleeping.

A voice that speaks quietly. And early symptoms such as low tones and hoarse voices can occur.

6. Change of face

It looks like you’re wearing a mask that covers the entire face, and you may have difficulty moving the small muscles of your face. Your face looks stiff and can look very serious. There are also cases where the eyes blink less.

7. Change in posture

The crooked posture is Parkinson’s most common early symptom. Changes in body balance and posture can occur very little. Parkinson is a serious chronic disease. If the above symptoms are repeated several times, you should go to the hospital and get an examination. The earlier you discover, the more you can slow it down.
